De novo aneurysm formation 6 and 22 months after initial presentation in two patients.

چکیده
Two cases of angiographically and surgically documented de novo intracranial aneurysm formation are reported. The first patient, a 32-year-old woman, developed two new aneurysms within a 6-month period, and the second patient, a 27-year-old woman, developed two new aneurysms within a 22-month period. In both patients, the new aneurysms were symptomatic, causing stroke and subarachnoid hemorrhage, respectively. The development of aneurysms de novo over such a short period of time has important implications for periodic imaging in patients considered to be at high risk for intracranial aneurysm formation.

De novo cavernous aneurysms development after contralateral parent artery occlusion—Two cases report
A 53-year-old woman developed a de novo aneurysm after contralateral internal carotid artery occlusion, and another 42-year-old woman developed a de novo aneurysm after contralateral vertebral artery occlusion. Both patients experienced a rapid development of de novo aneurysm formation, 6 and 9 months, respectively. The development of de novo aneurysm on the contralateral artery after parent ar...
متن کاملDevelopment of de novo intracranial aneurysm in three months: case report and literature review.
SUMMARY Formation of de novo intracranial aneurysms is rare. Their etiology is not known, but they are seen in patients with inherited collagen disorders, polycystic kidney disease, and familial history of aneurysms. Most de novo intracranial aneurysms are found 3-20 years after diagnosis of the initial aneurysm. We report the imaging findings in a 46-year-old man who developed a de novo intrac...
متن کاملA tiny bleb at Junctional Dilatation of the Posterior Communicating Artery as a Predisposing Factor for Development of a De Novo Aneurysm
Formation of de novo aneurysm from a junctional dilatation at the origin site of the posterior communicating artery (PcomA) has been rarely reported. In this case report, three females in sixth decades of age developed a de novo aneurysm from the junctional dilatation of the PComA with a tiny bleb-like lesion over 5 years after initial presentation.
متن کاملDe-Novo Presentation of Histoid Leprosy on an Unusual Site
Histoid Leprosy (HL) is a rare variant of Lepromatous Leprosy, occurring in long-standing cases, mostly in a background of acquired drug resistance. Patients usually present with sudden onset multiple nodules and plaques, most often involving the skin and subcutaneous tissue of trunk and lower limbs. Here we report an unusual case of de novo (without any history of prior anti-leprotic therapy) ...
متن کاملDe novo aneurysm formation after stereotactic radiosurgery of a residual arteriovenous malformation: case report.
We report a case of a 19-year-old woman who underwent radiosurgical treatment of a residual arteriovenous malformation. Nine months after treatment, repeat angiography revealed a de novo paranidal aneurysm that was treated endovascularly. We postulate that changes in flow dynamics or vessel integrity after radiosurgery contributed to the formation of her de novo aneurysm.
